Forest Ranch's houses are spread along Highway 32, Forest Ranch Road, Doe Mill Road and the side roads that run out to the canyon edges — cabins and ranch homes from the 1960s through the 1980s, custom homes from the 1990s and 2000s, and a growing number of newer builds on larger parcels.

We install standing-seam metal here more than any other system because it is Class A on its own, sheds needles and snow, and holds up for decades; fire-rated architectural shingle over a Class A underlayment is the more affordable option and meets the same requirement.

At Forest Ranch's elevation, snow falls a few times most winters and can sit for days on north-facing slopes under the trees. That means ice-and-water membrane at the eaves and valleys on every roof, attic ventilation that keeps the deck cold so snow melts evenly rather than damming at the eaves, and snow retention above entries on metal roofs.

Pine and cedar needles are constant, filling valleys and gutters and holding moisture against shingles in the shade, and oak leaves join them every fall.
